Our Story.
Hello, I’m Jo. I am the heart and hands behind Wings of Aeternum, and I wanted to share with you how this journey truly began.
Wings of Aeternum started four years ago during a time when I was struggling physically, mentally, and emotionally. In June 2019, I lost my beautiful mum. The heartbreak completely devastated me. Layered with my own physical disabilities, the grief felt impossible to move past, and I found myself stuck in limbo.
Looking for comfort, I saw a leaflet for memorial ashes jewellery. However, because of my disabilities, I needed an adjustable piece—something that simply didn’t seem to exist at the time. That was the spark that changed everything. I thought, “What if I made my own?”
The research began. The road wasn’t easy; grief often took over, and I nearly gave up multiple times. But when I finally completed my very first memorial keepsake ring, something shifted deep inside me. In place of raw pain, I felt an overwhelming sense of comfort and peace. In that moment, I knew I wanted to help others experience that same healing.
When we lose someone we love, physical absence is not the end.
The love we share remains forever — it is Aeternum.
Crafting these pieces is simply an extension of that love.
I do this work because I am, above all else, a daughter who loves and deeply misses her mum.
Wings of Aeternum is dedicated to the lasting memory of my beautiful mum, Anne, whom I miss with all my heart every single day. This space is also created in honour of our beloved furbaby, Beano, who brought our lives so much unconditional love and joy. Their memory is the heartbeat behind everything we create.
